Why warehouse labels are indispensable for RAJA
RAJA’s logistics centre near Maastricht covers an area of 50,000m2 and accommodates 7,500 different products. So without clear warehouse marking, it would be impossible to find a reference quickly. Thanks to warehouse labels, we track down the right products much faster. Together with our innovative warehouse management system, they ensure that we process every order within a few hours.
► 1. Quickly see where your products are stored: warehouse labels are like lighthouses along a rugged coast. They stand out clearly from a distance due to their bright colour (e.g. white or yellow), making it much quicker to find the right products.
► 2. Easily identify your products: use serial numbers and/or letters to give each product its own place. Warehouse labels can show you which product is in front of you without having to open a warehouse bin or packaging completely.
► 3. Easily scan your barcodes: label holders feature a transparent strip. This makes the serial numbers on your warehouse labels easy to read and your barcodes easy to scan.
Which warehouse labels are best to use?
Warehouse labels are available in several designs and formats. We usually distinguish between two broad categories. On the one hand, there are hanging labels that you hang on your product with a piece of string or metal wire. On the other hand, you can also opt for label holders that you simply stick onto the walls of a warehouse rack, for example.

► 1. Mark your loose or very large products
Hanging labels made of PVC or steel: if you want to identify loose or very large products, it is best to use hanging labels as warehouse labels. These labels made of PVC or steel are excellent for storage in the harshest weather conditions. Choose a PVC label for exposure to low temperatures or a steel label for very high temperatures. By the way, these labels also come in handy in chemical or greasy environments.
Hanging labels made of kraft paper: want something more stylish? Then you can opt for paper hanging labels. You attach them to your loose products with a string, metal wire or polypropylene thread. You can also get these types of labels printed with a price label or your logo to give a personal touch to your packaging. Paper hanging labels are popular for labelling textiles, jewellery or decoration, among other things.

► 2. Mark all your storage bins and racks
Label holders: most of us store our products in warehouse bins and racks. For quick identification, it is best to stick label holders on the walls of these. The labels are then simply given a serial number and/or letter, possibly combined with a barcode.
Label holders can be attached to your warehouse rack in two ways: with a self-adhesive ad hesive for permanent marking in the same place. Or on the other hand with a magnetic attachment for temporary or frequently changing marking, at any warehouse temperature.
► 3. Mark your metal racks, appliances and machines
]Magnetic labels: the label holders above are mainly used for indoor use, but there is also a solution for outdoor use: magnetic labels. This type of warehouse labels sticks to any metal surface and can be easily removed even after years without leaving any traces. With an indelible felt-tip pen, you then just have to mark them and you’re done!
