How much tape is needed to tape a box?
It may seem obvious, but it’s a legitimate question. We see lots of tape going to waste every day, but there’s a simple formula to follow: top + bottom + 11
The top and bottom need to be covered with tape, but what about the number 11? 11″ stands for the tape legs. The tape legs provide the strength the box needs to get an optimal closure. 2 ¾ on each tape leg is the correct amount of tape needed, 2 ¾ x 4 = 11″. Remember, you should not need to use more tape than the formula shows. Using the correct tape size will save you money and increase your profits.
