RAJA Group, Europe’s leading distributor of packaging, supplies and business equipment, announces that its 15 European subsidiaries, formerly known as RAJAPACK, have united under a single European brand: RAJA®.
With a presence in 18 countries and 1,900 employees, the RAJA Group has been serving its customers for 65 years, providing them with packaging, supplies and equipment. The RAJA Group is a market leader thanks to its culture of customer service, its drive for innovation and the expertise of its employees.
In 2018, the French Group recorded a turnover of €631 million, of which 50% was spread across all European subsidiaries outside France, and served 420,000 customers of all sizes and in all sectors of activity.
RAJA®: A European brand
The harmonisation of these brands will make the RAJA® Group easier to identify for its customers throughout Europe.

With a presence in Spain since 2003, the Spanish subsidiary of RAJA® is based in Barcelona and employs 70 people.
“We belong to the RAJA Group and the customer is at the heart of our strategy. We will continue to develop our market share in Spain and we have every confidence in the future,” says Bernard De Paauw, Managing Director of the Spanish RAJA® subsidiary.
High targets and promising prospects for 2019
In 2019, the RAJA Group will pursue its multi-channel development strategy throughout Europe.
“We want to continue to offer our customers more innovative, customised and environmentally friendly solutions. We are strengthening our product offering, logistics and organisation to achieve our growth and profitability targets. These investments should enable us to reach around €690 million in turnover in 2019,” says Danièle Kapel-Marcovici.
These ambitious targets will be driven by the development of Key Account clients, particularly in the dynamic e-commerce sector, as well as investments in digital technology and logistics.
where does the name RAJA® come from?

este nombre, RAJA®, viene dado por las 2 primeras letras de los nombres de las fundadoras de nuestra compañía: RAchelMarcovici y JAnineRocher, que en Francia, en 1954, crearon la sociedad Cartons RAJA. Animadas por un espíritu constructivo decidieron, durante los años de la postguerra, emplear cartones reciclados mucho menos costosos que los nuevos.
Esta sencilla idea, pero que sin duda atendía a las necesidades del momento, fue el inicio de una empresa que no ha cesado a través de sucesivas generaciones de adaptarse a las circunstancias de cada contexto ¡A la izquierda podéis ver nuestro primer catálogo! En 1975, Danièle Kapel-Marcovici crea el Departamento de «Publicidad» de la sociedad y lanza el primer catálogo de Cartons RAJA: 24 páginas en blanco y negro con una tirada de 10.000 ejemplares que venía a ayudar el trabajo de los comerciales
