How to pack a parcel to be sent by Correos?
In order for your parcels to reach their destination in perfect condition, Correos recommends that you follow these instructions:
- Choose the most suitable packaging for each shipment. Before preparing the package, you should choose the most suitable type of packaging that best suits the contents, whether it is a cardboard box, a padded envelope for small items or a cardboard box with reinforcements if it is necessary to secure the inside.
- Protect your shipment properly. Once you have selected the packaging, make sure that the product inside is immobilised as well as possible: ideally, avoid gaps and empty spaces by using a shock-absorbing padding material. You can choose kraft paper, so that the entire packaging is monomaterial in combination with a cardboard box and kraft adhesive tape, bubble wrap for fragile objects or foam sheets for goods of a certain volume.
- Seal the packaging well before shipping. A well-sealed package with adhesive tape minimises the impact on the contents, insulates it against moisture and prevents the packaging from being opened during transport.
- Label the shipment clearly and legibly. This is the only way to ensure that the package reaches its destination. You can use adhesive labels to add this information. In addition, it is also advisable to add a label with the text “Fragile” for cases where the contents are delicate; or to indicate if the objects inside are dangerous.
How to pack a book?
If you want to send a book by Correos, you can use our self-seal boxes or our cross-shaped boxes. If the number of books is larger, then it is advisable to use a larger case or even a box adapted to the size.
Tips for sending clothes through the Post Office

- Protect the product to avoid tearing, snagging or moisture.
- Choose a practical packaging adapted to the content.
- Create a customer experience with the packaging.
- Make it easy to return with round-trip packaging.
The self-assembly folding box is convenient for instant assembly, but if you need a more sophisticated shipment, our wardrobe box for clothes includes a bar for hanging hangers.

How to ship fragile products?
In the case of sending fragile products, i.e. those that can easily break or deteriorate due to a blow or rubbing, you should take extra care to secure the contents. To do this, you can follow these tips:
- Use double or triple channel cardboard boxes.
- Avoid empty spaces inside with filler packaging.
- Add labels to warn of the fragility of the contents.
- Cover edges and corners with corner protectors.
