Creators of Esturirafi, a space that was born in 2014 as a blog about how to be more sustainable in everyday life. And that, for almost 4 years now, they are already an e-commerce with more than 400 ecological, plastic-free, reusable and durable products.

We came to them through a recommendation they made of our online packaging shop on Twitter and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to learn more about their story.

Want to know more about how their e-commerce packaging stays totally true to their brand message 100% plastic free? Go ahead interview!

► Hi Rut and Nahir, first of all, thank you both so much for meeting us, could you tell us how you met us?

When we were organising everything to launch our Esturifari online shop, one of the most important points was to send our products in plastic-free packaging. We started researching possibilities, materials and suppliers. We were lucky enough to stumble upon the RAJA® website which offered many possibilities. Boxes of different sizes, reinforced envelopes without plastic bubble and 100% biodegradable adhesive tape.

Your philosophy is clear, better without plastic! I imagine that it was very important for you to convey this message also in your packaging.

What would you recommend to an e-commerce that has just started to be more eco-responsible?

Reduce, use as little as possible, simplicity is the key. The first thing is to analyse the products you are going to send to define how many sizes of boxes or envelopes you need. Opt for cardboard boxes and envelopes with paper reinforcement. Adapt the size of the box to each shipment, avoiding unnecessary volumes.
If your products are delicate you will need to pad the box, paper shavings are a perfect resource. To close the box, paper tape is the most ecological choice as it is 100% biodegradable.
Last but not least, if you have an online shop, you will receive your goods in boxes, with fillers, etc. Reuse these materials for your shipments. It may not always be possible but whenever you can, reuse.

What do you value most in a supplier?

Making things easy. Running an online shop is not easy, there is a lot to do and there are only two of us. What we value most is a simple shopping website, that there are no stock problems and that things are delivered as quickly as possible.

How would you rate the quality of our service?

We are very happy with the RAJA® service, we don’t have a single complaint. Everything is easy, the prices are competitive, the deliveries are fast and there is always stock. Also, thanks to this interview we have had the pleasure of getting to know part of the team that makes up the company and now we like working with you a little more.

Would you recommend RAJA® to any entrepreneur who, like you, is looking for suppliers?

Yes, we would and do recommend it. Whenever we receive an enquiry about where to buy eco-friendly adhesive tape or kraft boxes, we would definitely say RAJA®.
