E-commerce in Spain dodges the crisis

The MarketingPro agency has presented the results of a survey conducted in our country on online sales in 2013, and these could not be more optimistic: 63% of online shops have increased their sales and 25% have maintained a similar level to the previous year.

As if that were not enough, future forecasts are positive. The consulting firm Forrester predicts that our country will occupy a special place in the growth of the sector over the next four years. Its study, based on 17 European Union countries, indicates that the average annual growth rate is 11%. The agency predicts that, compared to pioneering countries such as the United Kingdom where this type of sales has been consolidated, annual growth in Spain will be 18%. Expectations that are ratified if we look at the increase in mobile commerce, with Spain recording the highest European growth (66.5%) in the use of smartphones to consult and purchase in online shops in July and August.
