Boxes – what dimensions can be used for shipments?

Receiving and sending parcels is part of our lives, especially in the age of the proliferation of e-commerce and online ordering. But do you know what are the appropriate types and sizes of boxes used for shipments? An extremely popular and convenient way of sending and receiving packages is, for example, the Parcel/Packet delivery service. The key question, however, is what box to use to meet the appropriate parameters of the parcels. Shipments can generally be divided into 2 groups: standard and oversized.
Standard shipments
Standard shipments should meet the following parameters:
- maximum weight – 5 kg
- maximum dimension of one side of the consignment – 70 cm
- maximum sum of the dimensions of all three sides (height, width, depth) of the consignment – 120 cm (e.g. a consignment with dimensions 50×40×30 cm)
- minimum dimensions of the consignment: 10×7×1 cm
Oversized consignments
- weight from 5,1 to a maximum of 10 kg
- maximum dimension of one side of the consignment 70 – 120 cm
- maximum sum of dimensions of all three sides 120 – 150 cm
The dimensions of the box and the weight of the consignment determine the price of the consignment. We therefore recommend that you use the most appropriate boxes depending on the size and weight of the goods being shipped. Here at RAJA you can choose from more than 550 possible box sizes.
