SYSTEMS FOR THE TRANSPORT OF GOODS

First of all, did you know that there are several systems and devices that can facilitate the transport of your goods by road? In that sense, road transport represents a large percentage of the internal mobility of product deliveries. Trucks and vans move tonnes and tonnes of products along the road network every day, and in order for this process to run smoothly, it is essential to secure the loads correctly.

For example, the security of the products inside the vehicles responds to three objectives:

• Avoid uncontrolled oscillation of the goods during the journey, something that can eventually cause traffic accidents;
• Preserving the integrity of the products, protecting them from shocks, falls, among others;
• Minimize the risks for the transporters and for the operators involved in the logistic chain.

Protection techniques for loads:

Similarly, there are two cargo protection techniques for immobilising goods inside trucks: securing and blocking.

• The protection of loads, when securing, is based on the use of objects such as, for example, straps, belts and chains. Thus, these objects exert a vertical pressure towards the ground on the objects themselves. With this method, it is recommended to place non-slip mats to reduce friction;
• The protection of loads, when blocking, consists of blocking with protection bars or airbags to keep the products in place. Blocking neutralises empty spaces and leaves no room for the products to move.

Folding wooden beams or collars

Foldingwooden coll ars are placed on a pallet that serves as a base. Flaps can be added to configure the different levels of horizontal separation between goods. They provide palletising with extra strength and are ideal for long journeys or for moving heavy or bulky goods.
