Did your child also ask for a Nintendo Switch? It was the most requested gift, the seventh video game console developed by Nintendo, thanks to its innovative hybrid technology that allows you to play both at home and away, has managed to sell a total of 107.65 million units worldwide. In a continued effort to generate sales, with the young and innovative spirit that characterises the Nintendo brand, it has decided to launch a new line of Laboproducts… Made of cardboard!
These new accessories consist of two kits: the Robot Kit and the Variety Kit, which cost €79.99 and €69.99 respectively. The kit will come with a card to play with, with accessories that you can assemble as well as cardboard pieces and other parts such as stickers, ropes or ribbons, you won’t need to use scissors or glue in any case … because remember: it’s for children?
We don’t always need technology to have fun, today we want to give you ideas for making disguise toys and games out of cardboard. We also like to play with our imagination!
Toys, costumes and crafts with cardboard boxes
Combining homemade and eco-friendly toys in a handmade way is a family activity that never goes out of fashion, it’s fun, easy and when you get tired of playing… recycle and start thinking about your next favourite toy!
How to make a cardboard kitchen?
The Oven
We start easy, the material you need:
- Picking Box
- Adhesive labels
- Cardboard separator
It’s simple, the picking box is characterised by its pre-cut front opening, so opening and closing it is a very simple task. You can use the labels to symbolise the oven buttons. And for the finishing touch, you can make a pizza peel by cutting out a cardboard plate.
The Freezer
The material you need:
The wardrobe box for clothes is tall and very sturdy, but to make it more like a fridge we need to divide the “main door” into two, this way we’ll have a fridge and a freezer, for that we’ll separate them with cardboard separators. In order to make it easier for the children to open it, we can make drawstring handles, which are not only useful, but also pretty and colourful.
The Cooker
The material you need:
To start, you will need to place the ribbon from one side of the box to the other, where you can hang cloths or kitchen utensils, you can also make a cord handle to be the handle of the cooker. To make the burners for the cooker, you can paint the 4 round plates black and then glue them to the top of the box. On the top of the box, which leans against the wall, you can put a cardboard separator and hang more kitchen utensils.
The instructions are easy: you have to cut the box on one side, remember to leave a small margin to place the television buttons that you’ll make with coloured adhesive labels. To give a more fun and classic touch, you can use two cable ties to symbolize the antennas and make a television remote control with cardboard and buttons (from old clothes).
How to make an Astronaut helmet with boxes?
In the same way we did the television in the previous point, you can take an isothermal box which, with its silver finish, has a more futuristic style.
The last step is to put the helmet on your head and travel with your family and discover new galaxies.
How to make a Cardboard Puzzle?
A very simple idea is to print out one of your favourite photos and stick it on a cardboard, cut it out with strange geometries and mix them up. Dare to solve your own puzzle!
