Ecological filling is certainly here to stay: the demands of companies, increasingly committed to the environment, as well as their customers, make this type of packaging a new trend in the sector.
Thus, the evolution of the market has led to the adaptation and development of new types of ecological filling for all kinds of products. For example, kraft paper is one of the most widely used products and in that sense, it respects the environment. However, not all eco-friendly packaging should be limited to this material: bubble wrap, plastic bags, filling chips, among others. At the same time, they also have their “greener” version.
Mainly, if we talk about ecological filling, we obviously think of kraft filling paper. It is, therefore, one of the most used packaging due to its practicality, respect for the environment and cost. Moreover, there are also systems adapted to prepare the filling, of the packaging, with this type of material.
Above all, not only kraft paper is recognised as an environmentally friendly filler. If we are looking for other types of alternatives, which contribute to a better presentation, fix the product or avoid unwanted oscillations, it may be more convenient to find alternative packaging to kraft paper that is also environmentally friendly.
Alternatives to kraft paper as ecological filling packaging:
Similarly, bubble wrap is also an environmentally friendly filling packaging solution. Its composition is 50% recycled and offers the same safety conditions, in the protection of a shipment, as traditional bubble wrap. It is available in rolls of film or in bags with adhesive closure, ideal for sending small products.
The filling chips also have an environmentally friendly version made of corn starch. Above all, they are 100% recyclable,
biodegradable and compostable. They are antistatic and water soluble. In addition to adapting to the product, they also protect it from possible damage.
