3min read 18/01/2018

The growth of online distribution of all kinds of products has led to an increased demand for packaging that is tailored to the specific type of product being shipped, while at the same time providing a guarantee that it will be delivered to the recipient unaltered. For the shipping of books, calendars and stationery items, cardboard wrappers work best.

Cardboard wrappers – applications

Cardboard wrappers are special packaging for books, calendars, brochures or catalogues that provide them with adequate protection during transport and dispatch. They are made of high-quality, rigid corrugated cardboard, which is resistant to tearing, soiling and bending. The packaging is designed to fully protect the packaged item from any kind of damage. Book wrappers are used to:

  • protect books/calendars during transport,
  • protect products from damage (tearing, scratching, creasing, etc.),
  • protect products from dirt.

Importantly, cardboard wrappers are available in a variety of sizes, so it is easy to choose a wrapper for a small children’s book or a multi-volume encyclopaedia.

Wrappers for books and calendars – who needs them?

Bookwrappers are a solution especially for bookshops, stationery shops and online shops where books, calendars, albums and information brochures can be purchased. Books and other stationery items are subject to a lot of damage during transport, such as scratches on the covers, bending, soiling, bent corners or tearing. In order to avoid this, they must be properly prepared for transport using calendar wrappers. It is with these that the sender can be sure that the item shipped will reach the recipient intact.

Wrappers for books – advantages

Wrappers for books and calendars are an ideal solution for online shops. It is a type of packaging that has many advantages. Cardboard wrappers:

  • they are lightweight, thus reducing postage costs (very important in the case of entrepreneurs who send dozens or even hundreds of parcels a day, but also for buyers who can save thanks to this),
  • are manufactured according to the standards set by postal and courier companies,
  • are made of high quality cardboard, which is durable and resistant to adverse weather conditions,
  • are suitable for the most common printing formats,
  • make it possible to pack several books/calendars at the same time,
  • are easy and at the same time comfortable to use.

Wrappers for calendars are definitely a more preferred solution than bubble envelopes. This is not only because the cost of purchasing them is much lower, but also the security issues are decisive. Cardboard wrappers can easily be sealed with packing tape. This is the best protection for the parcel against unauthorised persons – it is impossible to get at the contents of the parcel without clearly breaking the wrapping.
