Types of tape and dispensers for packing parcels, packages and cartons

The right packaging tape and dispenser are accessories that should be found at every packing station, be it in a shop or in a warehouse. They make packing go smoothly.

The packing tape and dispenser should be selected according to the type of consignment (its size and weight), the transport conditions and the type of packaging. There are the following types of tapes: adhesive packaging tapes (self-adhesive, paper, reinforced), warning and masking tapes, splicing tapes (polyester and polypropylene), tapes with company name – with individual printing and dispensers: handheld universal, industrial, safety, lightweight for PP tapes, for reinforced and woven tapes and table-tape dispensers.

Adhesive packaging tapes

Carton tapes are used for sealing and precise marking of shipments. By using them, you can be sure that the package will not accidentally open during transport and that the contents will not fall out and be damaged. Packing tape also provides security – it is scratch, scratch and cold resistant. Parcel tapes made of acrylic, polypropylene, PVC and paper are available in the shop. They come in many colours and sizes and have different levels of adhesion. The most popular are self-adhesive tapes – tough, UV-resistant, with reinforced adhesive strength, made from polypropylene film.

Another type of packaging tape is reinforced tape, i.e. glass fibre-reinforced, which is ideal for sealing heavy, bulky loads. It can be used to bundle and group products.

An eco-friendly version of packaging tape is paper tape – made from Kraft paper. It is designed to be recycled along with cardboard packaging. It is increasingly being chosen by online shop owners who are committed to ecological business solutions.

Tying and banding tapes

This type of parcel tape is used to stabilise and effectively band cartons and pallet loads. Banding is used to secure pallets and parcels before transport. The shop offers PP (polypropylene) strapping tape, polyester strapping tape, distributor strapping tape and ready-made banding kits.

PP tape is excellent for securing and reinforcing cartons on a pallet. It is used for splicing products, palletising, banding shipments and loads for short storage. This tape is strong and flexible – it adapts to items of different shapes. They can be used for heavy, bulky loads (pallets weighing up to 600 kg).

Polyester strapping tape (standard, standard plus or PET) is used for palletising, creating heavy loads and securing products. It is light, flexible, soft and adheres firmly to surfaces – without damaging fragile objects.

It is equipped with a rubber knob for tape application and a brake, as well as a metal casing to protect it from dirt. It is a packaging tape dispenser suitable for all types of tape.

• safety dispenser

This type of dispenser is safe to use – simply press the trigger to eject the blade and cut off the required amount of packaging tape. At the same time, it is ergonomic and easy to hold in the hand.

• industrial dispenser

This type of dispenser has an adjustable braking system, so you can vary the speed of tape application and a perfect cut thanks to the sharp knife made of hardened steel.

• light, noise-reducing dispenser

This tape dispenser is designed for PP tapes – it reduces the noise when unwinding them. It has a fixed brake to control the unwinding speed.

• economic dispenser

It is equipped with an adjustable braking system to ensure proper tape tension. It is used for rolls with an inner diameter of 76 mm.

• reinforced and woven tape dispenser

Dispensers for reinforced and woven tape have special blades to ensure the precise cutting of the required section without damaging it. They are equipped with a brake.

The table tape dispenser for 1 or 2 rolls is equipped with a non-slip base. It is very efficient as it cuts all, even very strong reinforced tape.
