Types and uses of shipping cartons

4min read 03/03/2022

Online shops and other companies ship most of their goods in shipping cartons. From an economic and ecological point of view, it is important to choose the right packaging that matches the contents of the shipment. What shipping cartons does RAJA offer and what can be shipped in them?

There is a mass of different types of boxes available on the packaging market for sending parcels. Every trader will find the perfect packaging for their needs. The RAJA wholesaler offers a wide range of cardboard boxes for shipping, as well as many other alternative packages.

Packing cartons

Cut (postal) cartons are boxes made from a die-cutting die, i.e. a cutting die. It is therefore possible to produce the packaging in any shape and cut as well as dimensions. Cut boxes are equipped with interlocking flaps and wings, so they are easy to assemble and there is no need for adhesive tape or glue to close them. They have double walls and are therefore robust and resistant to possible damage.

They are used for shipping most products, including especially books, records, albums, calendars, clothes, accessories, cosmetics, small electronics, food and generally items in formats: A5, A6 and A7.

Cartons for shipment of wine and bottles

The wine shipping carton is used for shipping wine, but also other spirits and beverages in glass bottles. Such a carton is the ideal protection for delicate and fragile glass. Each bottle is packed in a separate compartment, so there is no possibility of them bumping against each other in transit.

Wine shipping cartons are made of 5-ply corrugated cardboard with a heavy-duty weight. However, their construction is lightweight and assembly is quick. The dimensions are suitable for standard 0.75 litre wine bottles. You can order cartons for 1, 2, 6 or 12 bottles.

Packaging for clothing shipping

RAJA offers special packaging for the shipment of clothes, so-called wardrobe cartons. They can be used to send hanging clothes (wardrobe boxes). Such a carton is equipped with a bar that can accommodate several hangers. They are mainly used during removals for shipping suits, suits, jackets, coats and dresses. On the other hand, for the shipment of other clothes, which are smaller in size and less likely to crumple, we usually use cut boxes, foil packs or bubble envelopes.

Foil packaging for shipping – an alternative to boxes for parcel shipping

Many clothing shops send their goods in foil envelopes, or so-called foil packs. They are lighter in weight and take up less space than cardboard boxes, so are more economical. You can also send documents in special courier foil packs.

Isothermal dispatch packaging

This type of packaging is used for sending temperature-sensitive products. RAJA offers Isostar isothermal packaging and Isopro thermal cartons, as well as cooling inserts. They can be used to send goods at a temperature of 0 to +8 degrees for 24 or 48 h depending on the choice of the specific packaging. These boxes are shock and vibration resistant. They are made of extruded polystyrene with a thickness of 3 to 5 mm. Check out our product “

Cartons for the shipping of hazardous products ONU

Packaging for the dispatch of hazardous products is also available from the wholesaler. These are very sturdy cartons made of 5- or 7-layer cardboard. They are equipped with protective bags made of PE film with a thickness of 50 microns. On the outside, they are covered with kraft paper for better protection of the cargo. Check out our product “

Ecological shipping packaging

No matter what a company is shipping, it is a good idea for it to use eco-friendly packaging and packaging accessories, i.e. those made from cardboard, preferably recycled. Such packaging can be recycled again after use. They can also be reused several times. In this way, the entrepreneur reduces the amount of waste generated and contributes to reducing environmental pollution. Today, almost all traditional packaging has an eco-friendly alternative. RAJA has them in its offer.
