Large gift packaging – an overview of boxes, cartons and more.

Wrapping a small or medium-sized gift is easy – just use the decorative packaging available on the market. The problem may arise when the gift is much larger in size. What then? How to pack such a gift so that it looks aesthetically and elegantly? What packaging should you use? Read on to find out all you need to know about packaging larger gifts.

The best way to pack a large gift is to use a suitable decorative cardboard box or a regular cardboard box, which is then decorated with elegant gift paper, fabric, decorative cardboard or something else according to the wrapper’s choice and idea. However, there are also other striking ways of wrapping larger sized gifts.

Types of gift packaging

The following types of decorative packaging are available in the RAJA shop:

  • Paper gift bags
  • foil gift bags
  • bags with individual print
  • organza gift bags
  • decorative paper
  • cellophane foil
  • decorative tissue paper
  • fancy gift envelopes
  • wine and other bottle packaging
  • decorative boxes.

To complete your gift packaging it is advisable to make use of the many packaging accessories available, such as: ribbons, reefs, ribbons, decorative strings, decorative parcel fillers, gift bags, decorative foil, etc.

How to wrap a gift in a larger size?

Most of the gift packaging available on the market tends to be designed for packaging smaller or medium-sized gifts. What about when you want to give a larger gift? If the gift is really large (so-called gabarage), it will probably arrive on a pallet, which can be wrapped in foil or paper and tied with a large ribbon. But what about gifts that are a little smaller?

To wrap them, you can use large decorative boxes or a regular large cardboard box, which can then be nicely wrapped or wrapped in other ways. At RAJA, large gift boxes are among the products available. A large gift bag will also work well. If the gift has a regular shape, it can be wrapped in decorative paper. Of course, in this case you will need several sheets of gift paper – one roll is certainly not enough. It is worth looking for paper in larger sheets or skilfully combining the smaller ones. Large gifts with irregular shapes can also be wrapped in paper, but the wrapping will be more difficult.

Corporate gifts, such as sets of sweets, delicatessen products or spirits, are often packaged in gift baskets. The gift basket should be wrapped in an elegant cellophane foil to make it look impressive and to keep the contents in place.

Decorative cardboard boxes, available in many sizes and colours, can be used to wrap a large gift. Gift bags are also worth using – special maxi bags made from kraft paper, as well as bag-boxes (universal, as they are both a box and a bag). They are durable and, thanks to the side tabs, you can put more things in them.

For packing elongated gifts, it is advisable to use oblong boxes, as well as flat boxes and telescopic boxes (i.e. expandable boxes). For packing posters or graphics, it is good to use special round or square cardboard tubes. For packing larger quantities of wine or other bottles, it is a good idea to use special wine boxes (available that hold 6 or 12 bottles).

It is most convenient to wrap a large gift in decorative paper. A wide range of decorative and wrapping papers is available in the RAJA shop. You can choose coloured paper, but plain, patterned, paper with a commemorative motif, glossy and matt, also double-sided. Wrapping paper is also available, which is great for wrapping gifts in an ecological style (together with paper adhesive tape and eco accessories such as eco decorative parcel filler SizzlePak, string, raffia, etc.).
