Bubble envelopes are one of the simplest and most readily available materials for safely packing and shipping fragile goods, protecting them from moisture and shock. The use of an envelope with bubble foil inside significantly reduces the risk of damage to the parcel and at the same time does not require a lot of time to be spent on packaging. What do you use bubble envelopes for?
Bubbleenvelopes consist of two layers: an outer foil or paper layer and an inner layer, which is a pocket of bubble foil. The foil consists of a huge number of tiny chambers filled with air, which act like an air cushion to absorb shocks and impacts. Bubble envelopes additionally protect the contents from moisture, which makes them a very versatile and commonly used packaging.
What to pack in a bubble envelope?
It is advisable to pack all items that could be damaged or destroyed during shipment in standard packaging, such as jewellery or CDs, in a bubble envelope. This applies not only to fragile items that are prone to breakage or shattering, but also to goods with delicate surfaces that are prone to scratching. The use of a bubble envelope means that anything that is affected by moisture, such as electronic devices or clothing, can also be packed in it.
Types of bubble envelopes
Bubble envelopes are available in several sizes, which have been developed to suit customers’ needs. The sizes of the envelopes make it possible to perfectly pack a CD, documents or books in A4 format or a USB card reader. These are, of course, only examples of envelope sizes, of which many more can be found. The envelopes are made of tear-resistant paper or foil, which is sealed on the sides to further increase the security of the parcel. The envelope is fitted with a strong, self-adhesive closure to prevent the package from opening during shipment. Thanks to this solution, no glue or adhesive tape is needed to pack the parcel.
Advantages of bubble envelopes
An unquestionable advantage of bubble envelopes, and their use, is their low price and general availability. Bubble envelopes are available in various sizes, making it easy to choose the right packaging for the item to be sent. Another advantage of bubble envelopes is that they save time. It takes only a moment to pack the goods to be sent into them, while finding the right box, filler and securing the parcel takes several times more time.
How to pack a parcel securely?
When sending a fragile item, the size of the envelope should be chosen accordingly. The bubble envelope should not be too large, because then the goods being sent will move around inside, which can cause damage. At the same time, the packaging must not be too small, as forcing the item into the envelope will cause the air bubbles to burst and the envelope will lose its cushioning properties. When sending particularly delicate items, it is a good idea to pack them in an extra protective layer before placing them in the bubble envelope and to include a note to this effect.
Applications for bubble envelopes
Most people use bubble envelopes when they want to send a fragile item by post or courier that could be damaged in ordinary packaging. However, they can also be used for other purposes, such as storing items that could be damaged by moisture. Bubble envelopes are available in many sizes, so it is easy to choose the right one, which also saves space. When choosing bubble envelop es, it is worth paying attention to whether they are made of ecological paper, so that the manufacturer does not contribute to environmental protection.
