A cardboard box is sustainable packaging in itself. But did you know that for disposable plastic bags, packaging tape and bubble wrap, there are also ‘greener’ alternatives? We take a look below at the most popular products with a sustainable twist.

► Sustainable packaging from box to tape

Our story starts with the box. At RAJA, all cardboard boxes consist of at least 70% recycled material. The boxes in the Variabox®range also have an extra environmentally-friendly side: they are fitted with a crease line which makes them easy to adjust in height. So this box adjusts itself perfectly to the size of your product. That means less filling material and less waste.

We now have a durable box, but how will you protect your products inside? For once, forget the usual bubble wrap or foam film and opt for packing paper. This sturdy paper will wrap and protect your products from shocks and scratches. Finally, there is also a durable solution for closing your box. Think of paper tape. You recycle this tape together with your cardboard box, without having to worry about waste separation anymore.

Even in your warehouse, it is easy to take simple yet sustainable measures. For example, consider cardboard storage bins. They come in handy for storing small individual products and order picking.
