Rajapack to expand substantially in Belgium

2min read 06/09/2017

Rajapack has experienced strong growth in the Benelux for many years. And those who grow must also expand from time to time. In 2016, we were able to record a remarkable growth of more than 10%. In Tongeren (Belgian Limburg), additional storage space and staff are needed as a result. What do the plans look like?

New storage space and additional staff

To continue meeting our customers’ demand, we were forced to significantly expand our storage space. From 1 January 2017, our site on the Tongeren East industrial estate will be extended by a 20,000m2 building (DC3 on the map below). As a result, Rajapack will now have 50,000m2 of storage space. This space is definitely needed to keep the more than 7,250 products in the catalogue constantly available.

Besides storage space, Rajapack will now and in the future also expand with many new employees. Rajapack already employs 175 people. The new expansion will provide 25 extra jobs in the coming years, at least… Because in the packaging sector, nobody does better: the Raja group, active in 17 countries, is the undisputed market leader in Europe with a turnover of €500 million. And determined to extend its lead even further.

Growing for the long term!

The growth story that Rajapack sets year after year is based on a few simple principles. Firstly, here at Rajapack, we want to ensure that all products are always in stock. As a result, as a customer, you never have to wait for a delivery. Moreover, we guarantee that all orders are shipped in 24 hours, or even faster, to anywhere in the Benelux. If you want to order a product, we also make sure that a packaging specialist is always ready to help you. This can be done online via the chat function on our website or by phone. This way, every customer is assured of personalised advice.
