Wrapping with eco-friendly paper is the trend. OK, that may be little news under the sun for you… But have you already heard of the Geami WrapPak? 1. What do you use the Geami WrapPak for?

What actually makes this device so special? The Geami WrapPak is unique because it can combine not one, but two packaging materials. Kraft paper on the one hand, and silk paper on the other. The kraft paper is “punched” by the machine. In the process, a kind of honeycomb pattern is cut out of the paper and folded. The great advantage of this is that this folding technique is particularly good at absorbing shocks. The silk paper in turn has a soft surface that protects your products from scratches.

Both sheets of paper roll through the machine at the same time. You then wrap them together around your product. Thanks to the combination of shock protection (= kraft paper) and scratch protection (= silk paper), the Geami WrapPak can be used for a very wide range of products. Any shape is possible. Good to know: this type of paper protection is completely antistatic and therefore also suitable for packaging electronics.

Versatility trumps! As mentioned, this unit produces true 2-in-1 protection: the die-cut kraft paper protects against shocks, the soft silk paper protects against scratches. Together, this produces a protection that is up to 60% more effective than traditional bubble wrap, for example. Moreover, these paper cushions are very flexible: you can therefore easily adapt them to the shape of your product.

3. How does the Geami WrapPak work?

To use the Geami WrapPak correctly, you will need a roll of kraft paper. You can supplement that with a roll of silk paper if you wish (but this is not compulsory). You can then insert both rolls into the device. Then roll the paper through it. You will see that the kraft paper will be punched (or punctured as you like) with a honeycomb pattern in the process. After this, place your product on both sheets of paper with the silk paper always facing your product.

All you then need to do is cut the two sheets to the desired length and wrap the whole thing well around your product. The honeycomb shapes of the kraft paper automatically interlock and create a sturdy package. Hop into your shipping box or gift wrap and you’re done!
