Choice guide for wiping cloths and paper towels

In our previous article, you could read all about wiping paper: a versatile cleaning aid both for your hands and for greasy machine parts. In this article, we take a closer look at two related products. On the one hand, textile wiping cloths: you use these for cleaning surfaces. On the other hand, paper towels: these are used for, well, your hands… Depending on the work you do and your needs, you will see that there are suitable tools for every job. So roll up your sleeves and be clean and ruthless!
Textile cleaning cloths
A polishing cloth is used primarily for wiping an object or surface clean. They are often made from recycled pieces of textiles and thus fit within the idea of the circular economy: you give old textiles a second life with them. Cotton is usually the main ingredient. This fabric is very sturdy and absorbs moisture well. Just what we need!
We have listed all the types of cleaning cloths available at RAJA below. The white cleaning cloths are best used for delicate cleaning. The coloured variants come in handy for heavier cleaning work.

Paper towels
Dirty surfaces, machines and work tools we can clean by now. But what done with our hands? For that, there are paper towels!
Because they are made of paper, a renewable resource, they are eco-friendly and sustainable. In terms of shape, we distinguish two variants. On the one hand, you have towels on a roll (similar to cleaning paper on a roll). On the other hand, there are folded towels. And that folding can be done in many ways. We’ll explain them below in a moment. By the way, paper towels often have a waffled surface. This allows them to absorb dirt and moisture better and faster.

Folded hand towels can be more economical to use than their roll equivalent because you only take 1 towel at a time. Folded towels can be stacked in two ways. On the one hand, they can be layered which means they are simply loose on top of each other. On the other hand, they can also be zigzagged together. This gives the advantage that when you remove a towel from the dispenser, the next towel is already a bit along. This makes it easier for the next user to grab the new towel.
Finally, paper towels can be folded according to four shapes: C, V, W or Z.
