Rajapack already markets the bubble film that does not burst

2min read 06/07/2015

The space-saving bubble film is available!

But don’t worry, we will continue to sell the bursting bubbles too!

Raise your hand if you have never burst a bubble! It soothes the nerves of everyone, from the warehouseman to the clerk to the general manager. Especially when you are under stress and immersed in a bubble of 40° heat.

Bubble wrap has been on the market since 1960, when it was first marketed in the stars and stripes, and has increased its sales over time.

In 2013, worldwide sales of bubble wrap reached $20 billion, according to research firm Freedonia Group.

In recent years, however, the market has shrunk somewhat. We at Rajapack and other industry specialists have started to introduce new filling products to the market. E-commerce giants such as Amazon or Target, who are daily looking for innovative packaging solutions that are more efficient and less bulky, are asking us for this every day.

Sealed Air, the American multinational company, has thus announced the creation of a bubble film that inflates as required and allows for cost savings in transport and logistics.

The surprising ratio is almost 1 to 50. One truckload of the new iBubble is the same as 47 trucks full of traditional bubble film.

The product is currently being tested in the US market.

The good news is that we at Rajapack, in Italy, have been renting the NEW AIR® machine, branded Sealed Air, for some time now.

NEW AIR ® burst-free bubble film machine

It is already possible to reduce storage space. One roll of New Air ® can produce the equivalent of 6 rolls of 1m x 100m bubble film!

Furthermore, logistical optimisation is combined with production performance. The machine can produce 20 m of filling/minute, or 960 m2 of film/hour.

Maximum protection is also ensured; the air cushions any shock without bursting.

The bubbles are not separated from each other, the air moves from one cell to another. When a bubble is squeezed, the air passes into the adjacent bubble, bursting never occurs, ensuring maximum shock protection.

Pluriball nuovo vs vecchio

Does your company have customers like Ms April Holliday, a fan of the 500,000-member Facebook group ‘Popping Bubble Wrap’?

Do your customers say like her: “I have to popping bubble wrap!“. Can’t help bursting bubbles yourself?

Don’t worry! Rajapack continues and will continue to flank the most innovative filling systems with the good old bursting bubble film.
