For Rajapack employees a special gift for 8 March

Rajapack gave fabric handbags and purses to all employees in Europe on the occasion of Women’s Day.
The gifts were commissioned by LP4Y (Life Project For Youth), the non-profit association that takes in young mothers from South East Asia. Rajapack has been supporting the centres in Manila and Jakarta for years.

All the bags were cut, sewn and packed by the young women of the LP4Y centre in Manila. For many of them, it was their first job, the first time they had to take a train to go and buy fabric, the first time they had to plan a production task within a tight time frame. Starting small handicrafts will make the girls economically independent, free to build a future outside the slums, for themselves and their children.
