The RAJA-Danièle-Marcovici Foundation has been an organisation committed to supporting gender equality and defending women’s rights worldwide for over 15 years.
Since 2006, the RAJA-Danièle-Marcovici Foundation has co-financed more than 600 NGO projects with a total value of EUR 15 million. Besides funding, the Foundation plays an active role in raising awareness on violence and discrimination against women through advocacy actions and communication campaigns.

According to theFoundation’s annual report, which has just been published, more than 8,500 girls were finally able to have access to education thanks to the support they received; this milestone is just one of many achievements. During 2022, the Foundation financed as many as 110 NGO projects, thus helping to make a difference in the lives of many people.
The Foundation’s commitment goes beyond education. Within the scope of the supported projects, more than130,000 women victims of violence have received valuable support . The Foundation has also dedicated itself to promoting the training and professional integration of women, offering 880 training sessions. In addition, 7,000 women received assistance to develop environmental preservation projects, demonstrating the Foundation’s commitment to sustainable women’s empowerment.
“We must continue to fight against all forms of violence against women. However, resources are still insufficient. Only five per cent of international aid is dedicated to gender equality,’ says Sophie Pouget, General Delegate of the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation.
The ongoing commitment of the RAJA-Danièle-Marcovici Foundation shows that women’s rights are not only a matter of justice, but also of social responsibility. RAJA is proud to work with the Foundation to promote training, innovation and the enhancement of professionalism in the logistics sector. Together, we are building a future where every woman can enjoy rights, opportunities and freedom.
The commitment of RAJA Italy and its European subsidiaries
In 2015 the “Women & Environment” programme was born
Since September 2015, through the “Women & Environment” Programme, launched in collaboration with the RAJA Group, the Foundation has been financing eco-solidarity projects that promote the well-being of women and the environment.
In 7 years:
- RAJA Group has raised over 2.5 million euros across Europe
- We have implemented more than 70 projects
Thanks to this initiative, together with the other European subsidiaries of the RAJA Group that participated in the operation (France, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, England, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Czech Republic, Portugal), we raised €306,152 during the period from September 2021 to February 2022, which enabled us to support 6 projects.
