[IT] RAJA Italy wins EcoVadis Gold Medal: a sustainability milestone

During 2023, we dedicated ourselves passionately to strengthening the certifications that attest to the excellence of our processes. Our determination and hard work led to a very important result: RAJA Italia won the EcoVadis Gold Medal, achieving an outstanding score of 76 out of 100.

This success came at the culmination of a long journey to EcoVadis certification, a deep commitment that required adetailed analysis and a continuous improvement of our policies and actions in the areas of environment, human rights, business ethics and responsible purchasinghighlighting our desire to excel not only in the products we offer our customers, but at every stage of our business.

EcoVadis, a recognised leader in sustainability assessments globally, awarded this important recognition to RAJA Italy for its forward-looking initiatives and its positive impact along the entire supply chain.

Some concrete examples?

• EnvironmentRAJA Italia has adopted strict policies to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, such as optimising processes to control material consumption. We have also actively promoted recycling and reuse through internal awareness campaigns and the sale of eco-responsible packaging.
• Labour practices and human rightsWe ensured diversity, fairness and inclusion, as well as improved working conditions and employee health and safety. Integrative actions for employee health (Health Check-up and Flu Campaign) and initiatives to support parenthood are just a few examples of the actions undertaken.
• EthicsThe RAJA Group and its subsidiaries have joined the UN Global Compact, demonstrating a commitment to ethical practices, including anti-corruption and information security. We have established procedures for whistleblowing and risk assessment to protect sensitive data.
• Sustainable procurementWe have implemented a code of conduct for supplier sustainability and obtained certificates such as Chain of Custody, FSC and PEFC, keeping our suppliers constantly monitored.

The EcoVadis assessment method

To receive one of the medals each company must achieve a minimum score in each of these 4 areas.
