[IT] RAJA Italy ranks among the best e-commerce of the year

In recent years, the number of e-commerce sites on the web has been growing exponentially. Fuelled above all by the situation caused by the Covid emergency, it has generated an increasingly competitive landscape. To cope with this situation, it becomes essential to be able to stand out and communicate your added value compared to your competitors.

L’German ITQF Institute and its media partner “La Repubblica Affari e Finanza” have compiled a ranking of the 800 Italian e-commerce companies that are most competitive in the market in 2023/2024.

The study involved 8130 websites, of which the 800 best performing were selected and divided into 11 macro-categories and 63 product sectors.

Among these, RAJA distinguished itself by placing in the top list of the best e-commerce sites in Italy for the Packaging and Packaging category with a score of 79.80.

The research methodology

The evaluation involved an analysis of scientific and statistical data carried out according to a precise 3-stage procedure:

Stage 1

Starting from a ‘long list’ of more than 8000 online shops present in the first results of the main search engines and integrated with the major competitors, the following were excluded

  • websites not in the Italian language
  • operators without legal and fiscal headquarters in Italy
  • candidates that do not indicate the data required by the regulations on their site
  • shops with less than 10,000 visitors per month

Phase 2

The expert evaluation phase took into account 15 objective parameters relating to 6 macro-areas:

  1. Search functionality
  2. Usability of the catalogue system
  3. Product presentation
  4. Trust and security
  5. Purchase and delivery conditions
  6. Service and communication

Phase 3

Through online surveys regarding customer satisfaction, conducted through the CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interview) method by the research institute Service Value. For the survey, a panel of about 400,000 Italian customers who had made a purchase on the candidates’ e-commerce in the last 12 months was interviewed. Users were selected on the basis of socio-demographic characteristics.

Which criteria did RAJA fulfil?

Usability of the catalogue system

Another element that led us to obtain the seal concerns the possibility of browsing the catalogue in digital version, allowing the user both to be directed to the specific product page and to add it directly to the shopping cart with a simple click. There are also thematic pages, built to help and guide users in their choice of products, according to their needs and requirements.

Product presentation

The detailed description of the products, accompanied by precise and comprehensive technical data sheets, gives the potential customer a complete overview of the item they intend to purchase. Each product is illustrated through images and videos showing different aspects and angles, ensuring an effective visual representation.

Confidence and security

Our customers gave a positive assessment of the security provided by secure payment methods and the possibility of reading reviews and watching explanatory videos to carefully evaluate the product before purchase. These elements have conveyed to them a high level of transparency that reinforces their trust. Our website includes dedicated pages presenting our services, information about the RAJA group, our certifications and other details that allow users to get to know us better and increase our trustworthiness.
