Do you know the best way to close a parcel with adhesive tape?
A secure and effective closure is essential for shipping, presenting or storing your boxes.
To optimise consumption, however, you need to use the right amount of adhesive tape depending on the situation.
Do you want to improve the closing of your parcels?
All you need to do is take a few small steps!
Here are three ways of applying tape that will save you money and increase your productivity.
Find out which one is best suited to your needs!
U-shaped closure
The U-band is the basic one, perfect for light packages of up to 20kg and for short-term transport. In these cases applying more tape would be counterproductive, only two bands are needed for an optimal result.
U and L closure with 6 bands
Choose U- and L-bands to reinforce packages of up to 40kg and in the case of long/medium-term transport or storage.
Full H-closing with 6 bands
The H-lock is recommended for securing parcels weighing more than 40kg and for long-term transport and storage.
Tip
To close a bulky package with slightly raised flaps for which greater strength is needed, choose 75mm tape or reinforced tape.
Remember
It is good practice to store your rolls of tape for up to 6 months at a temperature of between 15° and 25° with the exception of silent polypropylene tape which can be stored for up to a year.
Gummed paper and thermo-fusible glue can be stored, if protected from dust, for several years without risk.
The environmentally friendly choice
Did you know that Rajapack adhesive tape is recyclable and that polypropylene can be incinerated without toxic emissions?
The most environmentally friendly choice is standard gummed paper, made of 100% biodegradable natural materials!
