With the action programme “Perspectives for Women”, we have also been sponsoring the VbFF in Frankfurt am Main since 2016. The association supports socially disadvantaged women, (single) mothers and women with a migration background in vocational training and in re-entering the workforce. The aim of the association’s work is to strengthen the autonomy of women and girls. This is also one of the cornerstones of the social commitment of RAJA and the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation.
At the beginning of March this year, even before Corona, the vbFF launched the WANDA project, as newly emerging professions also demand more and more digital competence and women are still underrepresented in this world of work. WANDA stands for transformation through digital adaptation. In the project, participants are taught about digital media and how to use them, while at the same time talking about the critical aspects. The aim of the project is to reduce the digital gender gap, make women fit for the digital future and thus promote diversity in companies. The project is funded by the Hessian Ministry for Social Affairs and Integration, the European Social Fund and the VINCI Foundation, among others.
And we also think it’s great that the Vbff has now started a BLOG about it: WANDA blogs
Here you can now regularly find out about the progress of WANDA as well as the experiences and learning progress as well as the hurdles and stumbling blocks of the VbFF, and accompany them on their way to integrating digital teaching and learning methods as well as additional digital content into already existing measures and offers in order to reach all participants across projects and to gradually introduce them to the use of new media.
Take a look!
We at RAJA see digitalisation as a major branch of the future and are pleased that the VbFF is investing in this future. We are therefore happy to continue to support the VbFF with our donation programme in order to give so many women the support they need for a better life.
