The classic moving boxes are the best after all

In Germany, around 4.8 million households changed their place of residence in 2014, even though 52 percent of them stayed in the same city. The reasons for a private move are, unsurprisingly, mainly family-related. For companies, it is a change in space requirements, the merging of different locations and better transport connections. No matter who moves where and when: the moving box is always with them.

Corporate relocation

About 10% of companies relocate their headquarters every year. The reasons for this are a change in space requirements (the company is growing – but also: the company is not growing as planned), the merging of different locations, better infrastructure at the new location – or a combination of these. 87,000 companies moved within Germany from 2017 to 2018. Of course, because in addition to the logistical challenge, there is one thing above all that must be considered when moving a company: The employees and their environment! A move by the employer over a greater distance that cannot be overcome on a daily basis confronts the workforce with the decision: With or stay? Change of residence or change of job?
