In addition to customer orientation, quality assurance is particularly important at Roland Electronic. Since 1996, all production processes have been carried out in accordance with the DIN ISO EN 9001 quality management system.

The systems offered by Roland Electronic primarily ensure a reliable production process. They prevent damage to tools and production equipment, avoid the production of defective end products and semi-finished products by means of non-destructive testing and measuring methods. In detail, these are:

Double sheet controls, which prevent damage to tools and presses due to the unintentional feeding of two or more sheet blanks.
weld seam detection systems for tubes, which ensure repeatable bending geometries that are necessary for further processing operations
non-destructive material testing, which prevents the production of defective tyres as well as the further processing of defective wires, semi-finished products and cables
continuous sheet thickness measurement, which ensures the use of the correct starting material
the Pharma Blister content control, which in turn prevents underfilling or overfilling of tablet packs, as well as
the double layer control system for crystalline solar cells, which detects unwanted double and multiple layers on an eddy current basis during the automated lifting and conveying of these photovoltaic wafers, which are very susceptible to breakage, with special vacuum grippers.

Roland Electronic’s products, for example, contribute to increasing productivity and conserving resources in manufacturing processes. For example, reliable double sheet metal inspection increases plant availability, especially in car body construction and in the metal packaging industry. The positioning of tubes in bending processes enables lightweight automotive construction and thus serves to conserve resources. The same applies to the production of steel belted tyres, because here the aim is to detect any material defects that may be present as early as possible – “up-stream” – in order to avoid the production of rejects.
