Height adjustable packaging

New Year! New challenges! Whether you resolve to do more sport, eat more salad, sin less or find the love of your life this year … the important thing is to find the solution that suits you. This also applies to packaging materials:

As we all know, there is (at least one) suitable lid for every pot. But can the ideal packaging box be found for every product? Sometimes it’s hard to believe. Either decisive centimetres are missing to be able to close everything securely, or the opposite is the case: A lot of filling or padding material is needed so that there is not too much “rattling” due to all the free space in the box and the contents are safely protected during transport.

The best protection is a suitable box

This is not a good solution in several respects: On the one hand, the required filling material creates packaging waste that could clearly have been avoided. Secondly, the sender incurs unnecessary costs. And last but not least, product protection may suffer. Because the misconception that “a lot helps a lot” is not true when it comes to filling and padding a carton! The more precisely the product “fits” in the carton, the better the protection against transport damage and shipping damage caused by movement in the carton. Ideally, therefore, the shipping carton is exactly filled with product and a layer of cushioning material – without stuffing. If small gaps cannot be avoided, they can simply be stuffed with packing chips.

Adjust carton height

However, there is a simple solution: the height-adjustable folding cartons are not only stable, but also particularly adaptable.

In a total of 13 sizes, the cartons made of single wall corrugated board can each be adjusted to five different heights. It’s very easy: grooves are pre-cut at 25 millimetre intervals on all four sides. Simply use a cutter to cut the corner edges to the desired height – and the cardboard walls can be closed to fit and easily over the contents.

Economical packaging with less storage space

With the height-flexible box, you always have the right size at hand without having to store boxes of different sizes. Since it fits perfectly, even for smaller consignments, you also have to store less filling material. Last but not least, the flat delivery of the cartons saves storage space.

Erecting carton Varia Standard

Even easier handling is offered by the Varia Standard lightning base erecting carton. You can also adjust it individually to a desired height with a cutter. In addition, the carton can be erected in just a few easy steps by applying light pressure to the carton sides. The overlapping automatic bottom of the carton is particularly stable and enables quick assembly – simply unfold, done. An additional closure with adhesive tape on the bottom is therefore no longer necessary.

And the Varia Super goes one step further: thanks to a pressure-sensitive adhesive seal on the top, you can also close it securely without the need for additional adhesive tape. The recipients of your consignments also have reason to be pleased: the integrated tear strip also makes opening the box absolutely unproblematic.
