Gift Wrap Bottles

4min read 05/12/2024
A good bottle of wine, sparkling wine, champagne or another (non-alcoholic) noble drink is always a good idea as a small gift for customers, colleagues, partners or friends… if it weren’t for this impractical form of packaging. We have collected some ideas on how you can easily gift-wrap bottles – from simply elegant to creatively refined.

This is what you can expect in this blogpost

The hurried ones: Pack bottles simply chic with bottle bags and bottle wrappers

Want to save time and paper? Special gift boxes for bottles and bottle bags are the easiest way to pack bottles effectively. Open the gift bag, put the bottle in and you’re done! If you like, you can seal the bottle bag with a gift label. In the RAJA online shop you will find all the material you need for elegant bottle gift wrapping.

Oh you merry: Wrapping bottles for Christmas

Do you want to give wine or sparkling wine in beautifully decorated bottles as a gift for St. Nicholas or Christmas? Then decorate the bottles with Christmas elements. For example, hang Christmas tree decorations on the ribbon that you wrap around the neck of the bottle, or tuck a fir branch into the ribbon.

Does the recipient like mulled wine? Then add mulled wine spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and star anise to a bottle of wine.

The classic: Wrap bottles simply and elegantly in wrapping paper

Wrapping bottles in wrapping paper is another classic that gives you plenty of scope for creativity. The round bottle shape is not so easy to wrap in paper. To wrap a bottle in wrapping paper, you therefore need some skill and a bit of practice. But once you’ve got the hang of it, you can add a personal touch to any bottle wrapping. Super practical: wrapping paper also serves as a practical cushion when sending bottles.

Are you a fan of simple but elegant packaging? This simple variation can be done in no time at all.

What you need:

A noble drop, wrapping paper, adhesive tape, scissors and some decoration.

You can see how it’s done in the video, or described in detail below in our instructions!

  • Place the bottle on the sheet of wrapping paper so that only a little paper peeks out from under the bottom of the bottle.
  • Leave more paper above the neck of the bottle so that you can create an artistic gift closure there.
  • Fix the narrow edge of the wrapping paper to the body of the bottle. Now roll the bottle in the wrapping paper until it is completely wrapped. Now cut the paper so that the paper edges overlap slightly. Wrap the bottle and tape the paper in place. We used semi-transparent tape for better illustration. We recommend transparent adhesive tape for copying.
  • Wrap the paper at the bottom of the bottle. Make sure that the bottom is covered with paper, but that the bottle can still stand if possible. If necessary, cut off any superfluous paper.
  • Now cut off the overhanging paper at the neck of the bottle with enough paper above the neck of the bottle. Then fold the paper in so far that it forms a nice edge above the crown cork or bottle cap.
  • Now glue the edge invisibly to the back of the bottle. Either use double-sided tape or make a loop from a strip of tape (see photo). Now you can attach a gift bow and a label to the front of the gift. Your quick gift wrapping for bottles is ready.

Creatives: Packaging bottle as a pineapple

If you want to pack a bottle creatively, turn it into a pineapple. To do this, get a protective cover made of corrugated cardboard, put it around the bottle and stick chocolate balls in golden paper on it. Cut leaf-shaped pieces out of green wrapping paper and stick them to the neck of the bottle. And the pineapple is ready. There are detailed instructions on YouTube.
