There’s a lot going on at RAJA. The B2B retailer continues to focus on sustainability and is intensifying the expansion of its range of recycled and recyclable products. With this and the new Instagram account, it appeals to a young and trend-oriented target group. The contemporary style is also reflected in the modern look of the new main catalogue and webshop. The proven service is rewarded with the Customer Satisfaction Award 2021.

Sustainability

The availability of sustainable products has a high priority, especially among the younger generation. Just one reason why RAJA is constantly expanding its range of recycled and recyclable products. The mail order company is committed to the distribution of sustainable products, for example, innovations such as hand stretch paper or paper strapping tape expand the wide range. In addition, RAJA offers sustainable solutions in every product family, such as paper padded bags, shipping pouches and pouches, as well as reusable containers made of recycled material, such as hand stretch film with a recycled content of 80%, a unique selling point of the company.

Modern and future-oriented

All products are presented, among other things, in the main catalogue, which is published twice a year. This year’s March edition shows RAJA from its modern side. The fresh look in comic and pop art style inspires many of the readers and shows once again that RAJA likes to go new ways and does not stick to well-worn tracks. Thus, the company also visually reacts to the changes and demands of the new generation and at the same time tries to strengthen its leading role in the mail order business for packaging materials as well as warehouse and business equipment.

Webshop repackaged

The forward-looking orientation is also reflected in the relaunch of the webshop www.rajapack.de in December 2021. “Our modernised overall appearance represents our work and ambition in a modern and future-oriented way. It is dynamic, bold, lively and personal. It perfectly shows who we are,” says Harald Schönfeld, General Manager RAJA Germany.

In addition to the restructuring of the content, the website has been adapted to current technical possibilities: It is easier to find via search engines and thanks to the responsive design, the site adapts to all digital devices. During the implementation, great importance was attached to user-friendliness. For example, the new menu navigation is simpler and more practical, so that products can be found more quickly and selected more easily thanks to the new filter options. In particular, the live chat function allows feedback in real time and strengthens customer service and relationships.

Now also on Instagram

The appeal to a young target group is also reflected by the launch on Instagram. Since September last year, @rajapack.de has been reporting on social commitment, internal company news, sustainability and much more on this channel.
In particular, the integration of the carton mascot Karli already inspires 200 followers on Instagram and shows new ways of doing things. The augmented reality-based technology is an innovative highlight when using the app.
The social media team regularly publishes photos, videos, events and news from the German branch on Instagram. The channel not only presents RAJA at its best for customers, but also provides employees with content worth knowing. With the Instagram account, the company has a fifth digital pillar alongside its website, blog, Facebook and LinkedIn, which is actively maintained and further developed.

First-class service

It is RAJA’s strength to listen carefully to its customers, to provide them with expert advice and to focus on their needs. This commitment has also been rewarded externally.

In February of this year, RAJA was awarded 1st place for customer satisfaction in the category of customer satisfaction in the area of packaging materials (online shops) by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Verbraucherstudien mbH (DtGV).

However, the team is not resting on its laurels. “We will continue to work on providing our customers with the best service every day. RAJA has been delivering personal and smooth customer service for more than 20 years and has built a strong foundation with employees as well as customers,” says Harald Schönfeld. At RAJA, the entire company is guided by the principle of customer orientation and is understood as a strategic project, with the customer at the centre of everything we do. Schönfeld adds: “We are about more than just providing first-class service. We want to inspire our customers. We also show this on new channels and by means of open and approachable communication.” The award of the Customer Satisfaction Award is a great appreciation of this work for RAJA.
