the RAJA Group, a partner of the cultural economy, particularly that of books and comics, has many customers among publishers, booksellers and art galleries, who use a complete range of packaging dedicated to the protection and shipping of books. The Festival is a unique opportunity to promote these solutions, but also to discover innovative uses of cardboard, a naturally ecological material

towards an eco-responsible Angoulême International Comics Festival

RAJA has committed to working with the Festival to gradually implement an eco-responsible approach to the organisation of the event by placing cardboard at the heart of the event with the production of cardboard furniture, stands and exhibition displays

“At a time when sustainable development has become a major issue for all of us and we are collectively looking for solutions, it is essential to promote the use of this material – even in forms that are not directly related to our products,” says Danièle Kapel-Marcovici, President and CEO of the RAJA Group.

The RAJA Group is committed to sustainable development and offers its customers a wide range of environmentally friendly packaging, but cardboard, the emblematic packaging material, also has artistic qualities.

another look at cardboard

Through its partnership with the Angoulême Festival, RAJA invites participants and visitors to the event to take another look at cardboard, which lends itself successfully to creative use, as the avant-garde of contemporary art has often demonstrated. The RAJA Art collection, the company’s collection of contemporary art linked to the packaging business, is proof of this, and is unique in its kind! It currently brings together around a hundred works exhibited at the Group’s headquarters near Roissy

By joining forces with the Angoulême Festival, RAJA is committing itself to a partnership that is artistic, economic and ecological in nature, serving the public and contemporary art lovers, of which comics are a part.
