RAJA’s commitments on logistics and sustainable development

At RAJA, we strongly believe in the virtuous association of “logistics + sustainable development”. This is what drives us every day, in our commitments, from the supply phase to the continual improvement of our products

Enfin, nous innovons en permanence aux côtés de nos fournisseurs, pour qu’ils developpent toujours plus d’emballages “verts”, et en particulier sur les plastiques. 61% de nos ventes sont actuellement des emballages éco-responsables, et nous comptons, d’ici fin 2022, accroître ce chiffre à 75%.

Nos engagements pour vous servir

Fournir des produits respectueux de l’environnement est une chose. Poursuivre les efforts pour une logistique au coeur du développement durable après la phase d’approvisionnement en est une autre. Et chez RAJA, nous nous engageons toujours plus dans cette voie, cruciale à l’heure actuelle.

Au cours de nos livraisons, nous limitons au maximum les émissions de CO2, en…

• Using hybrid vehicles for deliveries within Paris
• Choosing transport providers that have signed the ADEME ‘CO2 Transport’ Charter, and that use vehicles with low emissions
• Having developed a second distribution centre in the South of France, which allows us to reduce delivery distances
• Choosing a parcel carrier committed to carbon neutral delivery

and even in our communication methods, we keep the environment in mind. The goal: to reduce our ecological footprint as much as possible, while informing our customers in the best possible way. For example, we have reduced the number of printed catalogues by 53% since 2013, and now print them on paper from sustainably managed forests (PEFC, FSC). The inks we use are mineral-based, Blue Angel-certified by ISO 14001-certified printers. To send them, we don’t use any plastic film, but biosourced, compostable film, in a purely environmentally friendly way. RAJA has been certified according to ISO 14001 since 2011

This is why the RAJA – Danièle Marcovici Foundation, which is committed to improving the conditions of women throughout the world, has a sustainable development component. As women are the first victims of the consequences of climate change, the foundation is working to maximise their role in protecting the environment. A packaging Oscar for RAJAEach year, the Packaging Oscar awards manufacturers for major logistical innovations. In 2019, RAJA was proud to receive one of these awards for its eco-responsible manual stretch pallet film. Produced from 80% recycled material, it offers an alternative to pallet film made from virgin plastic, while providing maximum product security.
