Mats-Erik Ramstad from Pon Equipment shares his experiences of working with RAJA. He explains how they value a strong network and efficient communication and how the transition to web ordering has improved their workflow. Mats-Erik Ramstad emphasises the importance of both good partnerships and fast solutions in their work with premium products like Caterpillar.

Pon Equipments looks for good partners with the right contacts and we see this as the most sustainable way of working. Caterpillar is a premium brand, so when people choose to buy from us, they choose from the top shelf. This means that we have high expectations of our deliveries and don’t just deliver a product, but the entire network around it. We are a supplier of construction machinery and marine engines, but when we sell, we also sell ourselves as a company. Everyone is important: our employees, customers and business partners.

We think RAJA has a good network, so when we have an idea, RAJA is quick to use their network to fulfil our wishes. We have an open dialogue so we can collaborate along the way. We then get useful feedback and suggestions for solutions, which we test to see if they work. Some suggestions may be shelved, but what I really appreciate about the collaboration is that we discuss what works for us. We also get competitive prices.

We order via the website; we used to order over the phone, but we’re very happy to have moved to web ordering. This means that the team leaders in the warehouse can place orders, which are then approved by me.

RAJA’s web solution is very practical and user-friendly. At the same time, I appreciate that we can have the dialogue outside. 99 per cent of orders are made directly online, but if something is very urgent, we take the time to discuss it.
