Choose the correct bottle packaging

Packaging for your bottles can be many different things depending on your needs. What is the packaging for? Is the bottle to be given as a gift? Then it is relevant to take a closer look at gift packaging aimed at bottles. If, on the other hand, the packaging is to be used for the safe shipment of bottles, then a completely different type of packaging should be used. Here it is worth looking at shipping boxes and bottle protection. > For shipping and storage

When you need to ship or store your products, choosing the right packaging is incredibly important. After all, packaging has a big impact on whether your goods arrive at their destination undamaged. Therefore, the packaging used for wine and beer bottles should be looked into.

Shipping and storage boxes

Shipping boxes are a good packaging solution for shipping wine and beer bottles. Here at RAJA we offer a wide range of different solutions of shipping crates and storage crates for beer and wine bottles. Find exactly the box that suits your needs.

If you want to be absolutely sure that your wine bottles arrive without damage, it is always a good idea to use a wine crate that is made for shipping. A good example of a solid shipping crate is the CARGO crate with manual dividers. This crate is approved for shipping bottles and is available for both wine and beer bottles. With this you achieve the optimal protection of your bottles by means of four layers of cardboard. The boxes have a print that informs about the fragility of the contents: Fragile, Handle with care, Vorsicht Glas. The wine cases are suitable for any 750 ml bottle and the beer cases are suitable for 33 to 50 cl bottles.

There are several other wine boxes suitable for packaging wine bottles. However, they are not necessarily approved for transport and shipment. Therefore, we would always suggest using them for storage and shipping on pallets, rather than shipping individually. This means that you can easily store your stock of wines in the boxes, as you have the option to stack the boxes on top of each other. The boxes are equipped with dividers or inserts, which help to protect your bottles during storage and create structure in the box. Of course, you can also use the crates yourself for delivery to the customer. However, as we said, we would not necessarily suggest using the boxes for shipping. If you choose to use the boxes for shipping, remember to use proper package filling and protection!

Protection

Although we offer shipping boxes that are custom made for wine and beer bottles, we would always suggest using some extra protection for your bottles, that way you are even more secure. When packing for shipping your wines, we would suggest to top up with some parcel filling. This could include some Flo-pak to make sure your products don’t shake around in transit.

However, there are also products that are more custom made for protecting bottles. These include Bottle Protectors, which are made from double corrugated cardboard and wrap tightly around bottles and other cylindrical products. They protect against knocks and scratches and are environmentally friendly as they can be recycled.

Other bottle protection products worth mentioning are protective nets. These nets are tubular and therefore fit very well around cylindrical products that need protection during transport. This type of protection is best suited for protection against scratches on the product. The protective nets are easy to handle as they come in a smart dispenser box and you only need to cut them to size using scissors.

> For gift wrapping

If you think of packaging for bottles, you often think of gift packaging. Here, there are several different variants to suit many different needs. However, gift packaging for bottles is not just boxes. It can also involve other types of gift wrapping.

Gift boxes for bottles are an elegant solution if you want to give a bottle of wine. Besides its elegant look, it is also practical and sturdy, so you can be sure that your wine bottles will reach the recipient safely. They come in three different sizes to suit the number of wine bottles you want to give. You can choose between gift boxes that fit 1, 2 and 3 bottles. The boxes for 2 and 3 bottles are equipped with cut-out handles so you can carry them easily. Choose between a nice natural look or a more exclusive look in red or black.

You can also choose to give your wine bottle in a nice gift basket. This can be a great option if you want to give the wine along with other items. This could include a gift basket filled with several different treats. If you choose this solution, you can fill the basket with SizzlePak®, for example, which is a nice and aesthetic solution for gift wrapping.

Another simple solution is gift bags for bottles, made with a nice lacquer look. Available in a range of colours, you can choose how you want your packaging to look. The bags are equipped with a cardboard base, which helps to stabilise the contents. The strong material and the twisted handles ensure easy handling and good transport of bottles.
