What size bag or envelope to choose for a wide product?

1min read 27/01/2014

Sounds a bit like a magic trick. How to pack a wide or bulky product (in our case below, for example a box) into a flat bag or a postal envelope? You don’t need any magic – you just need the appropriate knowledge!

Let’s illustrate with an example in which we want to pack a box in a bag. To determine the correct size of the bag, measure the length, width and height of your product. Our box is 40 mm long, 60 mm wide and 20 mm high. To determine the minimum bag size, simply add the height to the width and length of your product.

Example calculation:

Krabice v sáčku Rajapack

length 40 mm x width 60 mm
+ 20 mm +20 mm
= 60 mm = 80 mm

The smallest bag you can put the box in is L 60 mm x W 80 mm!

For more comfortable insertion of the box into the bags, it is recommended to add approx. 1 cm on each side.

You see, that’s how easily you can “enchant” a bulky product into a flat package!
