Rajapack post-step-by-step supports women’s rights

2min read 02/03/2015

8 March is International Women’s Day. The first WYD was held in 1909 by the Socialist Party in America to protest against the oppression and inequality of women. Even today, equality and discrimination against women is an important issue that needs attention as there is still a lot of work to be done in this area.

On this basis, Rajapack wants to take clear action on the occasion of the YMCA in collaboration with the entire European RAJA group! At Rajapack, the topic of women’s rights has a long tradition. The driving force behind the improvement of the status of women in society is RAJA CEO and owner Danièle Kapel-Marcovici, for whom respect and equal opportunities are top priorities. Since its creation in 2006, the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation has supported projects around the world to improve the rights and inclusion of women in society.

This year, Rajapack and all its 1,400 employees in 18 RAJA Group offices in 15 European countries will make every step count from 3 to 5 March 2015! All employees will wear a pedometer to count their steps during working hours this week. These steps will be taken for Life Project 4 Youth, an organization that supports and gives a new perspective to young mothers living in the slums of Manila and Jakarta.

The goal of this foundation campaign is to collect as many steps as possible! In fact, at the end, all the steps will be counted and Life Project 4 Youth will receive the corresponding amount of money. So starting tomorrow, for all Rajapack employees, this means “Take a pedometer > Get ready > And post-step:)!”
