Boxes by number of layers

Corrugatedcardboard boxes come in three basic varieties: three-layer for light goods, five-layer for medium-weight shipments and the most durable are seven-layer, which are most often used for transporting and storing heavy products in the construction, automotive, chemical and electrical industries. When choosing a box, the height of the corrugation and its length also matter. Accordingly, they are divided into type A, C, B and E. Generally, the smaller the corrugation, the lower the load capacity and durability of the box. Read more about corrugated board here.

Another aspect we use to choose boxes is the way it is used. Whether it’s transporting products between factories, mailing, air freight, moving an office, shipping fragile products, etc., we always look at choosing the right size. There are many variations of boxes, for example:

  • – Boxes for flat goods
Ideal for shipping and storing products that can be disassembled. These boxes save space.
  • – Boxes for long goods
Ideal for packing long, fragile products, paper rolls, measuring equipment, etc.
  • – Long boxes with telescopic lids
Adapts to goods up to 2.55 m long. They have the advantage of a height-adjustable lid that doubles the thickness of the box walls.
  • – Variable height boxes
They have the advantage of an optionally adjustable height. They are very economical as they minimise unused space and save filling material and storage space.
  • – Boxes with removable lids
Thanks to the removable lid, the height of the box can be adapted to the goods to be shipped. To fix the lid, tie or adhesive tape is required.
  • – Postal boxes
They are resistant to puncture or other mechanical damage. They have a lid with retractable slats. They meet all the requirements for easy and safe mailing.
  • – Flat mail boxes
Ideal for flat products, magazines, sample books, documents, etc. They are sturdy and stackable.
  • – Wine packaging
They are differentiated according to their purpose. They can be used as gift boxes, where a low-maintenance material can be used, or as a shipping medium, where a more durable five-layer corrugated board should be chosen.
  • – Garment boxes
Used for the convenient transport of clothes, they contain a carrying bar on which the clothes are hung. They are made of durable five-layer corrugated cardboard to prevent damage or dents during transport.
  • – Archiving boxes
All archivists will appreciate these boxes. They can fit entire binders or archival boxes. However, they can also be used for cleaning products, clothing, containers and much more.
  • – Flap boxes
They can be three-layered, five-layered, seven-layered, white, brown, square-bottomed, standardized, suitable for palletizing, auto-bottomed, flat-bottomed, telescopic and so on. There are many sizes to choose from, we have over 550 in stock here alone.
  • – Moving boxes
They should have handles on the sides for easy handling. Ideally, they should be made of five-layer corrugated cardboard to make them durable and have sufficient load capacity.
  • – Cardboard shipping containers
They can be made of three-ply or five-ply corrugated cardboard. They are stackable and can be stacked on a pallet. They have a separate bottom and lid. They can be conveniently stored unfolded.
  • – Telescopic boxes for flat products
Their advantage is that they adapt to the height of the item to be shipped. They consist of two parts that can be quickly slid into each other. Again, it is a good idea to use binding or adhesive tape to secure the lid.
  • – Covers for posters, calendars, books
Suitable for paper products that are sensitive to mechanical damage. The height of the packaging is adapted to the goods being sent, simply bend the cardboard to the desired size.
  • – Multimedia packaging
These are packaging for CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray media or touch tablets. The height of the carton is adjusted to the number of items being shipped. They serve for easy and quick packaging and provide sufficient protection for shipments.
  • – Shipping tubes
Shipping tubes are suitable for sensitive paper products such as posters, plans, maps, drawings that we want to send by post or courier. The contents are protected by two lids and the packaging is puncture resistant.
