Packaging machines, equipment and tools for e-commerce

4min read 11/01/2023

The use of packing machines significantly speeds up the process of packing packages, making it a more cost-effective solution than filling packages manually with fillers. RAJA, a leader in the European packaging market, helps businesses increase productivity and reduce shipping costs with professional packaging systems. Packaging machines allow the right amount of filling to be prepared quickly and easily.

Why use automatic packaging machines?

In order to reach the recipient intact, the parcel must be properly protected. Different types of parcel fillers are used for this purpose. They protect the contents of the parcel to varying degrees and in some cases a large number of them must be used. Modern and powerful packaging machines, on the other hand, allow for quick production of the filler and packaging, which saves time and money. The best solution is to equip the workshop with a special system for the actual production of fillings.

Air fillers and bubble wrap are most commonly used to fill voids in shipments. They protect the goods from shocks and displacement during transport. An online store equipped with a packaging system has a more efficient, economical and environmentally friendly packaging process.

Packaging systems

RAJA offers 2 types of packaging systems – paper filling system and air filling system.

Paper is one of the most environmentally friendly fillers and provides excellent product protection. Shredded paper or machine made paper mats are used as filler. Thinner paper is suitable for stabilizing light and not very fragile products, while coarsely compressed paper mats are used to protect large and heavy products, especially those with sharp edges.

RAJA offers the following wrapping devices: FillPak M, PadPak Compact, WrapPak Protector, Geami WrapPak, RanPak Guardian, PadPak LC, FillPak TT, FillPak TT Cutter, PadPak Senior, PadPak Junior and FillPak SL and their corresponding paper.

The air filling system is the most efficient and practical solution on the market. These are devices that create air cushions and mats with small or large bubbles. They are very fast to start and heat up, so that such a packaging system is ready for use in a few moments. They are compact and quiet, so they can be easily integrated into any packaging station. They are programmed via Bluetooth. Additional accessories are available on request (pedals, container, extendable wheel stabiliser, maintenance kit). RAJA also offers consumables.

Such equipment allows for the production of customized fills. In this way, storage space can be optimised – consumables account for 1% of air-filled cushions. These fillers are environmentally friendly and protect the products during transport – they are made of durable film. Businesses don’t have to buy the machine, but can rent it so they don’t have to make any additional investment. RAJA also offers after-sales service. These packaging systems are ideal for large stores.

RAJA offers the following types of Fill Teck machines: Fill Teck 400, Fill-Air Rocket, New Air I B Flex, NewAir IN Nano, Air First and their corresponding films.

Machines, equipment and accessories for packaging

In addition to filling equipment, RAJA also offers packaging tools:

– manual tape dispensers.

– electronic tape dispensers

– bag sealing machines

– semi-automatic strapping machines for PP strapping

– stretch film packaging

– stretch film.

Stretch film packaging

RAJA also offers professional machines for stretch film packaging. They are used for quick packing of packages. They are very efficient – they save up to 75% of the time compared to manual wrapping, as it takes approximately 15 seconds to wrap one parcel. Manual and automatic versions and a semi-automatic version are available. Adhesive tape applicators and film holders are also available. The semi-automatic packaging machines are intuitive – all functions can be found on the electronic control panel. They are equipped with a photocell that detects the height of the load. They can have an M head (film tensioning by mechanical brake) or LP head (motorised tensioning system).
