Have you ever had an expected parcel arrive and when you open it you see something like this?

Uffff…. This is very annoying and so easily avoidable. Once a customer gets something like this, they probably won’t order anything from you again. The box is missing any protective film and padding.
The box is a basic
For extremely fragile goods, a five-layer box is suitable, as it is much more durable than a three-layer box. It is also advisable to place a sticker on the box, alerting the shipper to fragile goods. For example, the wording ‘FRAGILE’ or ‘GLASS’. You can read more about warning labels in our article here.
Also make sure that the goods inside the box are laid out correctly. Definitely do not combine fragile and breakage-prone goods with heavy products. It may happen that despite all the protection, the goods will be damaged.
Proper protection of goods
Here’s the stumbling block :-). Some people use newsprint as a fixing and filler in the context of ecology. You can use old papers that would have ended up in the bin anyway. However, for fragile goods this filler is not suitable at all, and this is because of the weight of the paper. If the retailer wants to remain environmentally friendly and protect the goods properly, we recommend, for example, kraft paper with a weight of 70 g/m2. Alternatively, a corn starch floppy paper, which is 100% degradable. A great alternative for e-shops is definitely the RAJAAIR machine, which not only saves time, but can also produce a paper – air filling. Such pads cushion effectively absorb shocks during transport.
[metaslider id=10362]But the most popular are bubble wrap. The bubbles cushion shocks and even the most fragile goods, such as Christmas decorations, remain undamaged. Bubble wrap comes in various thicknesses, but we recommend at least 60 microns. There is nothing easier than wrapping the product in bubble wrap, securing it with adhesive tape and placing it in a box with enough fixing material. The fixing material in turn prevents the goods from moving around inside the box. This again increases the safety of the goods being transported.
So make sure you protect the goods properly so that your customer is not disappointed when they open the parcel and is happy to come back to you again.
