Sealing the bags is one of the last steps in the packing process. When this stage occurs, it means that the goods are perfectly packed and ready for dispatch. In any business, this is the last step before sale or delivery, so closing the bag, sack or box is very important. And we know how to do it! In order to seal your bags and sacks as perfectly and precisely as you require, Rajapack offers a range of closures in its range.
Zip, adhesive closure and Co.
Practical – the bag you want to close already carries the closure with it: Many of the bags can be closed with a zipper (more than 250 different sizes and variants), an adhesive closure (made of PE and PP film, foam, metallic film in various sizes), a sliding closure (practical for air transport with about 20 variants) or with an integrated tightening string.
Closure of bags without integrated closure:
Rubber bands
To close other bags, tools are required. Take for example the old familiar rubber bands. When tying individual items together or to secure rolls of paper, they are simply unsurpassed: simply put on, easily removed and ideally used again. But to close bags? Not a clear choice: Even if you wrap it several times, the closure with a rubber band is not always reliable. With fine-grained or even liquid bag contents, something can go “wrong”. Also, opening is often accompanied by a “struggle” of the fingers.
Self-tying tapes
A much better option: self-adhesive tapes. The outer serrations of the plastic tape make it quick to use, arbitrarily tighten and keep small items in place. Another advantage: Where a rubber band becomes brittle and loose after a few days ( direct sunlight, sustained high or low temperatures), a self-tying tape will hold up. It can withstand temperature influences from -40 degrees Celsius to +85 degrees Celsius. The disadvantage is only one use – it must be destroyed when opened, and often the bag suffers as well.
Adhesive tape
Sticks like crazy – and unfortunately often where it shouldn’t: Duct tape. That’s why we recommend using a bag closer. This makes all bags up to 35 microns thick safe, quick and easy to close. The bag closer (perfect if you attach it firmly to your workbench) takes over most of the work steps (gluing and cutting) for you so that your hands are free and also clean from the adhesive tape. However: at 7 mm diameter there is no end, the closer can’t handle more.
The binder and binding tapes
For closing larger bags, plastic-coated steel wire ties are suitable. The tapes are simply turned around the bag, the eyelets caught in the binder and pulled without force. By turning the tape, it is pulled tight and secure and the “bag is closed”.
Flat bag closure without integrated closure:
We do not always want to tighten the bags, some products have to be flat packed.
Stapling pliers
The stapling pliers offer very easy use for flat closure. With several clamps used lengthwise side by side, the contents of the bag or paper bag stay where they should be. The disadvantage is the penetration of dust and other dirt , as well as moisture, which can damage the contents.
Welding pliers
Welding pliers are completely different. They seal the bag perfectly with an airtight and watertight closure. Ideal protection for shipped products.
