In this selection guide we highlight 2 types of warehouse rolling stock: roll containers and high rise trolleys. They have much more in common than just their wheels. They are an indispensable tool for many warehouse workers for moving large quantities of crates or bins at once.Ideal for saving time.Which trolley or roll container will do the job for you? Take a look at all the possibilities below.
1. Roll-container or trolley: which to choose?
► High trolleys
A high trolley with trays is actually an improved version of the standard trolley. However, a high trolley has more trays. Ideal if your warehouse worker wants to move a lot of boxes or bins at once. They are mainly used for internal transport,
i.e. within the
same warehouse. There are also trolleys with trays that are slightly inclined (up to 15°): this makes loading and unloading easier. Finally, there are variants with a grid around the frame. These ensure that your goods do not fall to the ground. This last variant already closely corresponds to what we call a “roll-container”.

► Rolls Containers
What about roll containers? This rolling stock is characterised by 2 things:
firstly,
the metal panels around the trolley. These reduce the risk of your parcels, crates or bins falling off. Secondly, there is the galvanised steel structure of the container. This allows you to use it both indoors and outdoors, making it ideal
for
external transport by lorry, for example. Good to know: roll containers can also be used without a shelf. This makes it much easier to move bulky goods. Large crates that you can’t fit between 2 shelves are no longer an obstacle

2. Benefits and uses
► Easy to move
A first advantage of high trolleys and roll containers is their manoeuvrability. They come with 2 fixed and 2 swivel wheels by default. This allows you to really roll them anywhere. If you put them next to each other they also fit perfectly in a truck
.
Tip:
it’s
better to push the roll container rather than pull it.Pushing is much easier, safer and less painful for your back.
► Reliable
This rolling stock is made with a solid steel frame. You can be sure that your products are well protected against impact. Unlike a pallet truck, for example, nothing is motorised, so it requires less maintenance.
► Safe
