The wonderful world of books is inhabited by two types of readers: the classic reader and the digital reader. The first is the one who appreciates the paper book the most, with which he can leaf through the pages from which there is still a slight smell of fresh ink. The second reader is more down-to-earth and chooses modern technologies (tablet or e-reader).

► 2. Tablets and e-readers
What you need ⇒ Boxes with foam padding or boxes with film insertalternative” readers are judged solely by the e-reader. They are not only light and compact, but also cheaper per book than their paper alternative. A e-reader or tablet must be extremely well packaged to avoid damage.
One solution is a box with an integrated polyethylene film. The film allows you to secure the tablet inside the box so that it cannot move and shocks or vibrations have no effect on it. With a box with foam cushioning, you protect it even more. This wraps your product in a thick layer of soft and flexible polyurethane foam.

► 3. Thin and/or light books
What you need ⇒ Cushioned pouches or cardboard pouchesWith a pouch, you choose the cheapest shipping solution.A cardboard pouch is suitable, for example, for sending a thin, lightweight book. For even more protection, consider using a cushioned pouch. If your book has a hard cover, this can damage the pouch and make shipping difficult.Fortunately, there are other shipping solutions for hardcover books.

► 4. A pile of books or papers
What you need ⇒ Telescopic boxes or variable height cratesSending a single book can be simple, but what if you need to send a stack of books? It’s best to choose a crate that you can easily adjust in height. This is possible with a telescopic box or a crate with a variable fill height. The more you adjust your crate to the size of your product, the less cushioning material you’ll need. And it’s also good for your wallet.

► 5. Posters and cards
What you need ⇒ Shipping tubesFinally, we’ll finish with posters and cards, as these are also items that are increasingly ordered online from publishers. There’s only one good solution for shipping these types of products without wrinkles: shipping tubes! They’re easy to handle, very sturdy, and shock-resistant.
