TEGAR, a great social work behind a job well done

When you have a supplier who, as well as working very well, does such a special job as TEGAR does, then the relationship goes beyond that of supplier-customer and becomes one of admiration.

today we want to share with you the magnificent work done by TEGAR, Tallers Especials del Garraf, a company we have been working with for more than 5 years.

tEGAR was founded in 1974 as the San Miguel Therapeutic Pedagogy Centre to attend to the handicapped population of the Garraf region. Its mission is to normalise the social and labour relations of people with disabilities, in a sustainable way over time and guaranteeing their active participation in improving their own quality of life.

TEGAR offers its services to companies and administrations and has experience in industrial handling, gardening maintenance tasks and mail management, among others.

In Rajapack we work with TEGAR for the handling of our shipments of catalogues, samples, mailings… For this line of business, they have an 800 m2 warehouse and 400 m2 of storage space, as well as a loading and unloading space of 1500 m2. And most importantly, a human team composed of 1 production manager, 2 workshop managers, 7 monitors, 1 warehouse manager and 48 labourers.

And we work with TEGAR for many reasons. Firstly, because they do their job very well, not in vain they have ISO 9001 quality certification for all their services, but also because we have seen them in action, we have visited their facilities and we admire their work. We like to think that we contribute, in some way, to support their work and favour the labour and social insertion of people with intellectual disabilities.
