El Hormiguero: Mario Casas and Pablo Motos break down our wall of boxes

Yesterday, 8th September, we went to have fun at El Hormiguero for the 11th time! Did you see it? You must have, because 2,366,000 viewers watched it, with a 15.9% share!

Once again, Mario Casas, Pablo Motos and Marron did a very funny experiment that managed to knock down our wall of boxes with a smoke cannon, the protagonists were our 50x50x50 cardboard boxes and we can also say that they were the winners in this popular program of Antena 3 because they did not manage to knock them down.

what did the experiment consist of?

The experiment that El Hormiguero devised consisted of creating a giant vortex with a cannon.

This cannon was 4.5m long, with an opening at the back of 2.5m and another opening at the front of 1.5m. At the back, a parachute with 4 tensors was placed to push the air.

To make the cannon work, the props guys (protected with our masks, by the way) have to pull and release the cannon to make the air push out of the front opening, creating the vortex and knocking down the boxes. As we couldn’t see it with air, what they did was to fill it with smoke.

it took 3 attempts and it didn’t fall! ABOLUTOOOOOO FRACASO.

In the end, Mario Casas, Marron and Pablo Motos decided to knock down the wall manually as if they were playing a game of Jenga and the wall ended up falling.

how is the protagonist of the night?

The cardboard boxes of the wall of the Ant-Man wall were single channel, this type of boxes are used for light or load-bearing products up to 20kg. They are made with the best quality cardboard, that’s why they are so resistant. In addition, they have good resistance to perforation and temperature variations. And the best thing: It is recyclable because it is made with a minimum of 70% of paper, so who knows if these boxes in their next life will be back in the Ant-Man!
