Packaging that protects products, but also the world around us

For more than 70 years, RAJA has been combining innovation, ecology and social responsibility into one strong mission. At first glance, packaging may seem like a simple means of protecting products. But what if every box and bag represents an opportunity for real change?

RAJA is a leader in packaging solutions that neglect neither sustainability nor quality. The company offers a wide range of recyclable, biodegradable and eco-friendly packaging solutions that help companies reduce their environmental footprint – without compromising on quality, whether it’s rigid cardboard boxes or filling materials.

But RAJA is not only involved in the field of ecology. The company also actively focuses on supporting social projects that improve living conditions and empower women in developing regions. For every product purchased as part of this initiative, €1 goes to support various projects. Over the last 10 years, more than €4 million has been raised through this foundation, which has helped to implement 114 projects around the world.

Every year, the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation selects 12 new projects that support women in different parts of the world. Among the initiatives currently supported until the end of 2025 you will find, for example:

Transmitting ecological knowledge to women in French overseas territories
Workshops focusing on traditional ecological knowledge help women to preserve and transmit important skills within their communities while promoting sustainable living.

Supporting women farmers in fruit production
Helping to diversify production and increase yields enables women to increase their incomes and achieve greater economic independence.

Women’s empowerment in fisheries
The project aims to raise the profile of women’s work in fisheries, offering training and encouraging their involvement in decision-making processes in this traditionally male-dominated sector.

Sewing and repair workshops for women in vulnerable life situations
Hands-on training helps women acquire new skills and facilitates their entry into the labour market through manual labour.

Training in circular economy and waste sorting
The project promotes the professional integration of women in environmentally oriented sectors and contributes to the development of a sustainable economy.

RAJA thus demonstrates that packaging does not have to be just about product protection, but can also be an agent of positive change with a long-term impact on communities and the environment.
