Corrugated cardboard
Corrugated cardboard is the basic material for the production of boxes and other cardboard solutions – from liners, to filling material, to cardboard envelopes.
It is a versatile, flexible and environmentally friendly material that will provide quality protection for a wide range of products during transport and storage. And with an excellent price/performance ratio.
Paperboard – the queen of packaging materials
Paperboard is created by gluing together several layers of flat and corrugated paper in a special corrugating machine. The machine shapes the paper under pressure, applies glue to the top of the waves, and uses pressure rollers to glue the cover paper on top.
Corrugated board products serve as a highly durable, environmentally friendly and economically viable packaging material. It is 100% recyclable and has versatile uses including the protection of fragile goods, beverages and food.
Did you know…
If you wrap fruit and vegetables in corrugated cardboard, they will stay fresh for up to 3 days longer. Plus, by using the packaging once, washing and return shipping is eliminated, helping to reduceCO2 production and save costs.

Corrugated cardboard boxes
Corrugated cardboard boxes are the most popular packaging material. They are used for transporting goods, mailing purposes, packaging, storage and archiving. Among the most widely used are flap boxes. It offers unlimited dimensional options and a variety of colors. Including the possibility of advertising printing.
Pads
Cardboard liners are used to protect products, materials and surfaces against mechanical damage. They are used to line fragile goods or as a filler for packages or insulation. They practically separate goods in the box and on the pallet.
Envelopes
A more environmentally friendly alternative to the classic bubble envelopes are the increasingly popular cardboard envelopes with practical closures that reliably protect printed materials and small goods.
Basic types of cardboard
The type, properties and primary use of cardboard or cartonboard are determined by the number of layers of paper from which it is made. The more layers, the greater the strength and durability.
- Double layer paperboard (2VVL) is used for interleaving and wrapping goods.
- Three-ply (3VVL) is ideal for making envelopes and boxes for smaller and lighter products.
- Five-ply (5VVL) is used to produce most large boxes and heavy-duty boxes.
- Seven-layer (7VVL) is suitable for extremely strong and durable boxes for industry and export.
