RAJA at the FACHPACK 2022 in Nuremberg

3min read 05/07/2022
RAJA from Ettlingen confirms participation in the leading European trade fair for packaging, technology and processes. Like previous trade fairs in the packaging industry, FACHPACK will also be dedicated to the topic of sustainability from 27 to 29 September 2022. RAJA will present a wide range of innovative and environmentally friendly packaging in Hall 7A, Stand 515.
Preparations are underway and anticipation is rising for the reunion and the exchange with interested parties. The new keynote theme “Transition in Packaging”, which focuses on sustainability in packaging, promises to be exciting. Topics such as the circular economy, digitalisation and e-commerce are on everyone’s lips and offer the packaging industry not only a task but also a great opportunity for change. Of course, these are also all topics at the 100m² RAJA stand.

RAJA as a pan-European supplier of sustainable packaging solutions with high consulting competence

With a range of more than 9,000 products, RAJA is a specialist in the field of packaging as well as business and warehouse equipment. RAJA scores above all with its product diversity, fast delivery and high level of consulting competence, which will be demonstrated at the trade fair.

During FACHPACK, the product focus is on recycled and recyclable packaging solutions as well as paper alternatives that reduce the use of plastic or even make it superfluous. Examples of this are paper packing tape, paper air cushions, shipping bags or films made of recycled material, paper strapping or even stretch paper.

Responsible procurement

In addition, visitors can also find out about the optimal set-up of a packing table, the sensible degree of automation of a packing line or the economic efficiency of packaging machines. Just as exciting is the topic of procurement optimisation, be it by means of e-procurement or for several branches, also internationally. “In discussions with customers, it becomes clear how important personal exchange is in order to raise awareness of sustainable products and the many other optimisation potentials and to find out what is the right solution for individual concerns,” says Frank Langbein, Head of Key Account Development at RAJA Germany. That is why RAJA is on site with a large team of account managers.

Ulrick Parfum, Director of Purchasing and Product Marketing of the RAJA Group since 2018, is responsible for the conversion of the product range to environmentally compatible products in the sense of the circular economy. In doing so, he emphasises how important trade fairs are for discovering new products: “Our buyers are out and about at trade fairs looking for innovations. They are real treasure hunters”. The group is ISO 14001 and Ecovadis certified and has been focused on responsible sourcing for years. Parfum is one of ten nominees for Les trophées des achats, in the category “Sustainable and Responsible Procurement”.
