What is eco-friendly packaging?

I’m sure everyone knows it. We place an order on our favourite e-shop, about two days later a huge box arrives and we wonder if the right goods have arrived. We open the box and can’t stop wondering how much stuffing is inside.

As the number of e-stores and also the number of online purchases is constantly increasing, you need to think about how to package your goods so that it is delivered in order, is eco-friendly and also makes the end customer happy.

Online shopping in Slovakia is growing

Slovaks shop online for all kinds of goods, from food and clothing to all sorts of electronics and so on. This is associated with a higher consumption of packaging materials such as adhesive tapes, boxes, fillers and protective material against damage to goods.

Today, there are alternatives that do not burden the environment. Instead of plastic bags, paper or reusable bags can be used. Paper adhesive tapes can be used instead of PVC adhesive tapes.

What is eco-friendly packaging?

The definition of eco-friendly packaging has a broad meaning. Ultimately, it refers to packaging that should not have a negative impact on the environment. It is, for example, how the raw materials for the packaging are sourced, the production process or what the packaging is made of and whether it is recyclable.
