An important attribute to possess as a company is to master customer satisfaction. One angle to this is to make sure that you leave the best impression with the customer when the package arrives – this also applies to package filling. Always make sure your shipments are adequately protected and that the contents get exposure that matches your brand.
The quality of deliveries being made today has become a bit of a showcase and a form of ‘corporate relationship’ with the customer. If you send a shoddy package, you are often a shoddy company – if you have done the work and ‘taken care’ of your package, the loyalty barometer goes up – in other words, you have focused on the customer experience.

Package filling:
We’ve been around a few years as a packaging supplier, and we’ve had to admit that not all transport factors are within our control as a shipper, such as bumpy roads or careless couriers… but nonetheless, we’re able to minimise the danger and show that we’ve done our bit to ensure the item reaches the customer in reasonable condition – and so far so good.
At RAJA we have many different types of package filling such as paper filling, bubble wrap, foam packaging and much more – All of these different packages have their own characteristics. Package filling today is not just package filling, package filling can have many other functions than just protecting. It can also help present a product aesthetically and/or optimize the packaging process or shipping costs.
Below we have described 3 different but all protective types of parcel fill:
SizzlePak – aesthetic and practical package filling:
It is not always possible to adapt the product packaging exactly to the product, especially if it is a very small package or if the shipment is in several parts. Here, loose packing is a good solution and SizzlePak (accordion-shaped paper strips) are handy for filling gaps and/or keeping small parts separate during transport. They are also decorative, come in a range of colours and work well in gift packaging for wine and other delicacies.
Fillers of this type not only hold their shape, but also fix and secure the product while being decorative, SMART SMART SMART!
Air cushions – Soft, light and shock absorbent:
Air pillows are one of the fillers customers like best. They are very good at filling voids in larger product sizes and absorbing shock both externally and internally.
The advantages of air pillows include the fact that they are not wasted when the package is opened and at the same time they are extremely light in weight, consisting of 99% air and only 1% bag, which leads to lower transport costs and leaves only 1% recyclable waste. In addition, it is possible to inflate and make the amount you need yourself if you acquire an air-puff machine, and there are a lot of different variants available here too.
Bubble wrap – Wraps, protects and shock absorbs:
A good old classic and also a popular player with customers is the bubble wrap! The difference between air pillows and bubble wrap is that they are used for two different things: For example, you’ll need more bubble wrap than air pillows to fill a cavity, but bubble wrap instead has the properties of wrapping/enclosing, separating and protecting surfaces and it also comes in many different qualities.
- Bubble wrap in dispenser box
- Bubble wrap with or without perforation
- Eco-friendly bubble wrap
- Anti-static bubble wrap
- Bubble wrap
- Bubble wrap with large bubbles
- etc.
A good cousin to bubble wrap is foam wrap, which like bubble wrap encloses and protects. Foam film is ideal for wrapping glass and polished wood, for example, which has a delicate surface.
Levels of frustration at filling types:
- 18% Polystyrene chips/package chips
- 6% Air cushions
- 4% Paper / Curled paper
- 0% Bubble wrap
